History and Social Sciences Teacher
Cambridge International Preparatory School is a small, private, co-educational, day/boarding school in San Francisco providing students in grades 9-12 from all over the world an American college preparatory education. Cambridge Prep was established in 1999 as the Upper School of Cornerstone Academy, changing our name in 2017 to better reflect the international diversity of our students and the global focus of our college preparatory curriculum.

We seek a history and social sciences teacher to begin Fall 2018. Teaching experience in a high school setting is desired as well as strong content knowledge in world history, United States history, economics, and United States government.

Good humor, collegiality, flexibility, and excellent writing skills are a must. Cambridge Prep has a significant international student population, so experience with teaching sheltered content classes is essential.

- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant teaching experience or the equivalent preferred, though we will consider dynamic new teachers.

Director of Admissions and Marketing

We seek a experienced, dynamic individual to serve as our Director of Admissions and Marketing. The ideal candidate will be able to:

- Design and implement a comprehensive strategic plan of admissions for new students to the school.
- Direct the admissions process for from point of inquiry through enrollment.
- Present the school to prospective students and parents, which includes systematic and efficient handling of applications and communication with candidates and their parents; tours of the school; interviews with candidates and their parents; arrangements for admissions testing; securing of necessary student credentials; and communicating final decisions to the appropriate individuals.
- Develop with the Head of School the admissions budget and appropriate admissions and marketing materials, ads, mailings, web pages and publications that interpret the school to prospective students.
- Manage the school's social media presence.
- Initiate and create activities intended to interest parents and potential supporters in sending students to the school.
- Promote good relationships and create networking opportunities and support for representatives with outside institutions or groups (schools, churches, real estate agencies, etc.) that can be helpful in attracting quality students.
- Organize and supervise student ambassadors to assist in giving tours and helping out at open houses, back-to-school nights, and other similar events.
- Organize and lead regular meetings of the Admissions Committee to make enrollment decisions for applicants.
- Organize and administer, with the Head of School, the program for scholarships and financial aid.
- Evaluate continually and redesign where appropriate all aspects of the admissions program with the goal of maintaining a capacity enrollment of qualified students and a wait-list of qualified applicants.
- Manage the re-enrollment of current students for the succeeding year with constant monitoring of attrition and retention.
- Keep relevant statistics on all aspects of the admission and re-enrollment program.
- Represent the school at various gatherings and conferences related to admissions.
- Serve on the administrative team.
- Support the school and its leadership.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

- A bachelor’s degree (master's preferred) with a minimum of three years admissions or equivalent experience.
- Supervisory experience managing professional and student staff.
- Experiences with production of a variety of media, particularly print publications.
- Ability to effectively communicate in person and in writing, and to speak publicly.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel and work nights and weekends as necessary. International travel for student recruitment is required.
- Ability to speak Mandarin and/or Vietnamese is preferred.
- High energy, attention to detail, and the ability to organize effectively.
- Self-starter – can work independently following a broad strategic plan.
- Team player – work well with diverse group of people.
- Good humor, collegiality, and flexibility are a must.

Cambridge Prep has a significant international student population, so experience with marketing to and recruiting international students, primarily from southeast Asia, is essential.
